New feature
Check out our new message board--just for the Upper Merion
Mother's Club! Go to the "Members Only" section of the website
for the link and instructions.
Thanks to new member Marine Havel for setting up the forum
for us. It is a great way to keep up with other members online, tell others
about events in the community, share recipes, and even sell things you
no longer need!
Concert Under the Stars - Fundraising
Come enjoy concert events under the stars this summer while helping the
Mother's Club sell
baked goods. We are looking for volunteers to work one event on June 1st
and one on July 20th.
Were also looking for people to donate baked goods, either homemade
or purchased for those
concerts and one more on July 6th. Contact Kendra at vp@ummoms.com.
Open Board positions for next year
Want to get more involved in the Mother's Club? We have Board positions
open for
community outreach and fundraising. Please let Kendra or Amanda know if
you are interested.
Thank you!
Mother's Club Cookbook
Although were still working out the details, the Mother's Club is
planning to create and sell
cookbooks later this year. Have a recipe you think should be included?
Heather Cardeiro is
collecting recipes now.
Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers for upcoming Mothers Club events. Please
donate your time to
the club! An organizer and volunteers are needed for the Big Red Run
and Community Fair which is the first Saturday after Labor Day in September.
If you can help, contact Kendra at vp@ummoms.com.
Laurel House Volunteers
The Mother's Club has an ongoing relationship with the Laurel House, a
local emergency
domestic violence shelter. The Laurel House is also always looking for
volunteers if you are looking for a way to give back to the community.
You can also contribute gently used clothing, jewelry and housewares to
Marians Attic, an upscale resale shop in the Valley
Forge Shopping Center which raises proceeds for the Laurel House. For
more information on the Laurel House, visit: http://www.laurel-house.org/.
To reach Marians Attic, call 610-337-3068.
