flag from Army Captain Paul Dangelantonio. The Upper Merion Mother's Club
collected items from its members to fill the wish-list of the Captain
while he was deployed in Iraq. Despite our hectic lives, we all strive to give both at home and beyond. Each year, UMMC's community service team try to find ways for our members to help the community in simple ways that mean so much to others. For information or to propose suggestions please contact community@ummoms.com Adopt
A Soldier Program In order to help support our troops, the Mother's Club adopts a soldier that is either from Upper Merion Township or is a friend or relative of a club member. Our club collects toiletry items, games, books, music, and other items that the soldier requests and mails them to wherever the soldier is deployed. The club sends donated goods to help make the soldiers time away from home more comfortable. Beginning in January 2012, Colonial Marble and Granite and Hob Nob Home have agreed to sponsor our club and help by providing postage for our Adopt A Soldier program. Casserole
Nights The club members volunteer their time and food to make casseroles for St. John's Hospice. Every few months, members get together at a volunteers house and create 8-12 casserole meals and desserts that can be frozen and used by the hospice house.
