One of the greatest benefits of the UMMC is that we moms can share with each other the unique joys and trials of parenting preschoolers.  From time to time, however, some of us need more than fellowship.  The purpose of the Family Support Leader is to rally support for UMMC members during a time of need. By lending a helping hand, we further develop the community bond within the Club.

If you know of a member who has had a baby, death in the family, or is otherwise in need of some support, please email famsupport@ummoms.com. She will then ask individual members (starting at the beginning of the member list and working their way down) to make a main dish meal and deliver it. If you prefer not to cook or don’t have the time, another option could be take-out, pizza, or a gift certificate for a meal. This way, all members will get a chance to participate in this great program even if you are not part of a playgroup. We hope this procedure works for everyone and look forward to helping a lot of Mothers’ Club families this way. This kind of giving spirit is one that fosters community.
